Scientific Writing Course

Virgilio Program is organizing a course on Scientific Writing for our 2nd Cohort students – 17th, 18th, 20th, 22nd December 2021.

Our course faculty is Prof. Myriam Alcalay, MD, PhD, Full professor of Medical genetics at the University of Milan, Unit Director of Functional Genomics at the European Institute of Oncology, and Deputy Scientific Coordinator of Alliance Against Cancer.

She’s a leading expert on the subject of “Writing in Science” and has been teaching this course across many national and international PhD programs.

High quality scientific writing is crucial for success in science.

The course has been designed to help students understand the steps in scientific writing, starting from literature review, principles of effective writing, grammar, writing an original manuscript, plagiarism and copyrights and finishing with the paper submission, using practical examples and exercises.
