Student research experience
Giulia Maria Corradini, Virgilio 4° cohort student, UNIMI
This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to spend six weeks at the Massachusetts General Hospital, immersing myself in the fascinating field of Neurointestinal Health. Under the mentorship of the esteemed Dr. Braden Kuo, I embarked on a journey of learning, discovery, and personal growth.
The Center of Neurointestinal Health is a hub of innovation, where cutting-edge research and clinical care intersect.
Dr. Kuo’s passion for this field is infectious, and it became evident from day one that I was part of something special. The complex interplay between the brain and the gut has never been more exciting, and I was fortunate to be at the forefront of this emerging discipline.
Working alongside Dr. Kuo was an absolute privilege. His wealth of knowledge, dedication to his patients, and commitment to advancing our understanding of neurointestinal health were truly inspiring.
During my time at MGH, I had the chance to engage in both research and clinical activities. It was a valuable experience that allowed me to connect theory with real-world applications.
Thank you, Dr. Braden Kuo, and the entire MGH community, for an unforgettable summer that has left an indelible mark on my journey in medicine.
