Research experience at Toronto General Hospital – University Health Network, Elisa Maria Ragaini

Last week I completed a month-long research fellowship at Toronto General Hospital – University Health Network.

During this time, I had the opportunity to learn and practice numerous experimental techniques in an amazing and innovative center, rated in the top 5 hospitals globally and the best in Canada.

Thanks to my mentor Professor Arturo Chiti for always embracing and encouraging my curiosity in exploring different research fields.
Thank you Professor Patrick Veit-Haibach, for welcoming me to your team and making me participate in your inspiring research projects.
I’d also like to express my gratitude to Adam Farag, Andres Kohan, and to all the amazing colleagues who dedicated time to teaching me and making me familiar with state-of-the-art technologies and who guided me through the daily practice of research.

Working here, being surrounded by exceptional minds who nurtured new ideas and projects, was truly an honor.
