Lab experience at the Weill Cornell Medicine, New York – Lorenzo Napoletano
Personal reflections lab rotation
Lorenzo Napoletano, Virgilio 7 th Cohort Student, UNIMI
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to attend a research internship at Weill Cornell Medicine, with the crucial joint help of Prof. Silvia C. Formenti, Prof. Laura Santambrogio and the Virgilio Program.
During this experience, I had the chance to work both under the hood and beyond it — refining my skills in flow cytometry, from experimental design to data analysis for scientific discovery.
Living in New York City has also been an enriching journey: I had the chance to connect with inspiring, driven and hard-working individuals such as Carlo Bosi, who mentored me, and whose dedication has further fueled my passion for science alongside medicine.
I am confident that this is only the beginning of my medical career, and I look forward to building further on this experience with curiosity and commitment.
