Virgilio Program Annual Meeting 2026

The Annual Meeting will host a Round Table “The Role of Physician-Scientists in Italian Research-Intensive Hospitals”, where the Scientific Directors of some of the IRCCS will come together to discuss the role and career perspectives of physician-scientists within research-intensive hospitals and the conditions needed to strengthen the integration between clinical practice and biomedical research.

We believe this discussion is particularly relevant to the Virgilio community. The Round Table will provide an important opportunity to reflect together on future opportunities and career pathways for young physician-scientists.

The afternoon will also include the Graduation Ceremony of the 6th Virgilio Program Cohort, with testimonials from students, tutors and faculty and the awarding of diplomas, followed by an aperitivo and get-together with the Virgilio community.
